Kesennuma Bay Crossing Bridge called as Kanae Ohashi
Kanae Ohashi = cable stayed bridge has been built as a symbol of Great East Japan earthquake, opened as of March 6, 2021.
It is constituted of two cable stayed bridges, total of 40 Auzac’s spelter sockets supporting one of the bridge.
The 1344-meter-long Kanae Ohashi is the longest bridge in Tohoku region JP.
The name “Kanae Ohashi is” was selected by public offering.
“Kanae” is derived from another name “kanaega ura” of the kesennuma bay, including the meaning of “make dream come true”.
These spelter sockets was designed by TOKYO ROPE MFG., having special constructn, installed on the bridge using trapezoidal threads. Auzac’s great artisan team has successfully processed those special sockets with its turning process skills.
